Pre-Marriage Guidance

Preparing couples for their wedding day and beyond.

Let’s be honest…

The honeymoon phase is REAL.. but that isn’t something that should scare you or make you less excited about marriage, especially if you’re ready for all of the challenges that life will bring. Choosing to do a pre-marriage guidance program is a great way to ensure that you have a solid foundation of practices and principles to help you endure the rollercoaster of life as a married couple.

We are incredibly grateful for the guidance received from Kellan & Mallorie during our marriage preparation. After 5 years together, we believed we already knew each other well. However, pre-marriage guidance gave us new insights and helped us prepare more intentionally for marriage. It shifted our perspective from dating to building a lifelong partnership—teaching us how to express love, navigate parenting decisions, and handle the challenges that come with marriage. Each session was thoughtfully led, providing us with valuable tools and insights that encouraged open communication and a stronger foundation for our future together. Kellan & Mallorie created a welcoming environment where we felt supported, encouraged, and inspired. Their guidance gave us practical tools, meaningful conversations, and faith-based wisdom that truly strengthened our relationship. We now have the tools, confidence, and knowledge to nurture a marriage centered on Christ.

7 years and counting…

Mallorie and I were married in February of 2018. Since then, we have been learning how to navigate marriages ups and downs together. There has been no greater joy than sharing life with her. While we realize we don’t know everything about life and marriage, we trust in the Word of God to guide us and to help guide others. Whether you believe in Jesus as Lord or not, there is no doubt that the practices and principles found in the Holy Scriptures are an excellent resource to follow for a prosperous and successful marriage.

And because marriage is a commitment between husband AND wife, I believe it is important to have both perspectives during pre-marriage guidance. That is why my wife, Mallorie, joins me during pre-marriage guidance meetings. It’s a blessing to have her thoughtful insight and maybe even a few do’s and don’ts (for the husband of course!).

Like myself, she also enjoys getting to know people and helping others in any way possible.

The details

The premarital counseling workbook written by Ed and Angie Wright titled “Together Forever” is what we like to use when meeting with engaged couples. It covers important topics such as forgiveness, personality differences, conflict, intimacy, finances, and goals, all while keeping Christ’s teachings at the center of it all. Flexibility in completing this workbook with you is our #1 goal. That being said, we can knock it out in a minimum of 2 sessions and a maximum of 8 (depending on how much time we have before your wedding). If you live in the same area as us, we would love to meet with you in person at least once. But we also understand that schedules are busy (including ours) and so we will mainly use video calls as our way of meeting with you, whether you’re near or far.
